Our Services

“The more we see health as a practice rather than as a problem to fix, the more we encourage the body’s natural potential to be healthy”

Aarti Patel

At Realize Health we offer a range of services to help you achieve a healthy balanced life.

Naturopathy

Naturopathy includes both nutrition and herbal medicine for optimising health.

It is important to treat the body as whole and not use the conventional medical approach of ‘band-aid’ solutions to keep symptoms under control.

Homeopathy

Homeopathy is a therapeutic method which clinically applies the ‘Law of Similars’ and which uses medicinal substances in weak or infinitesimal doses.

Nutrition

Good nutrition is the foundation of good health. All the supplements and treatments in the world will not help if the body is lacking nutritional building blocks.

Gut Health

Your digestive tract relies on a specific balance of bacteria, enzymes, and other hormones and chemicals to effectively digest food and extract and absorb nutrients.

SIBO

SIBO (Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth) is a condition where bacteria move from the large intestine up into the small intestine. It may cause bloating, indigestion, brain fog, food intolerances, constipation or diarrhea.

This is becoming more and more prevalent due to stress, medications and high carbohydrate/sugar diets. A breath test can be done to diagnose this condition and gives a good framework of how long treatment may take.

GAPS Diet

The Gut And Psychology Syndrome Diet was put together by Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride to treat children with Autism, but is also extensively used to treat any condition related to the gut immune system such as auto-immune disease, allergies, eczema, depression, schizophrenia and many more. It focusses on putting good nutrition back into the body, healing the gut, quenching inflammation and bringing the biochemistry back into balance.

MAPS Practitoners

MAPS (Medical Academy of Pediatric Special Needs) practitioners are trained through MINDD (Metabolic, Immunologic, Neurologic, Digestive and Developmental) to look at whole body biochemistry and how body systems interrelate. Used to treat children with Autism or Spectrum disorders, it really incorporates the idea of not looking at disease as a noun, but rather a verb where the aim is to bring the body from a dysfunctional state to a functional one.

Methylation

Methylation and Gene Polymorphisms are a hot topic at the moment. As anyone who has done 23-and-me or SMART DNA genetic testing would know, it is so much more than just MTHFR. It is important to talk to practitioners who continue their research into this constantly evolving subject as it can become very complex and confusing. You need to understand how this relates to your current symptoms and given tools to help prevent future health problems.
